Peace Building

Peace building activities contribute to moving a post-conflict nation from instability to stability, or preventing an unstable, vulnerable community from slipping into chaos by creating or rebuilding social environments.

The Crisis Response and Stabilization (CRS) group looks for opportunities to fulfill the role of honest broker to create space among dissatisfied parties for dialogue and problem solving. We identify and act on opportunities to serve as a bridge between stakeholders and key protagonists who can benefit from the effects that a third-party catalyst can bring to the table by incorporating a variety of conflict management and prevention methodologies as well as such tool as the media, working groups, and survey techniques. CRS works to ensure that citizens' voices are heard and play an effective role in reducing conflict.
