Housing and Infrastructure Development Program

AECOM, led by subsidiary TCB, assisted the Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB) of the Government of Libya in implementing its US$40 billion, 10-year investment program in housing, roads, water supply, wastewater, electrical power, and other urban and inter-urban infrastructure. Under the overall effort, AECOM International Development provided program management services for the housing development component, which included the construction of up to 10,000 new dwelling units nationwide. Our inputs in design review, development of design and planning guidelines, information management, and contracting/procurement assisted the HIB in minimizing risk, maximizing economic return, and improving the quality of housing and neighborhoods developed under the program.
