Representative, Effective, and Accountable Transparent Program

REACT (Representative, Effective, and Accountable Transparent Program) in the El-Minia governorate in Upper Egypt serves Local Popular Councils (LPCs), the elected arm of the Egyptian government Under our USAID Cooperative Agreement, AECOM International Development trains elected district council members in working with the executive branch and in serving constituents; provides computer workstations to improve council organization and communication; and conducts public awareness meetings to help village and district residents understand their voice as citizens and to recognize the role of the councils as their representative local government body.
